High school students in grades 9–12 with a passion for music have until January 8 to audition for the Rock Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA) at Delta Academy.
RAPA is a contemporary music conservatory program offering instruction in vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and more — all under the rock ’n’ roll genre. The program welcomes students of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned musicians.
Over the past five years, RAPA students have performed live at Downtown Container Park, The Space Las Vegas, Opportunity Village, Clark County Library, and Fremont Country Club.
“It’s incredible to see these young musicians — especially at the beginner level — gain the confidence needed to go out on stage and perform together as a rock band,” said Dr. Kyle Konold, Delta Academy Superintendent.
Delta Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving grades 6–12 with in-person, online, hybrid, and dual-credit options.
