Workforce Connections and Credit Union 1 (CU1) have launched a new partnership backed by a $30,000 donation from CU1 to expand apprenticeship and on-the-job training opportunities across Southern Nevada.
The investment will support local businesses through Southern Nevada’s Industry Sector Partnerships while increasing access to financial education resources for workers and job seekers.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to building stronger financial futures for workers and employers, while increasing awareness of the no-cost resources available through the public workforce development system,” said Mireya Eavey, CU1 SVP of Community Growth, Strategic Partnership & Financial Wellness.
“By connecting local businesses to apprenticeship career pathways and financial wellness resources, we are investing in a more resilient and ready workforce,” added Jaime Cruz, Workforce Connections Executive Director.
