Henry’s Place Camp & Retreat Center raised more than $300,000 at its annual All-American Jamboree fundraiser at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, with every dollar going toward free camp experiences for underserved Las Vegas youth in 2027.
Named in memory of Las Vegas Metro Sergeant Henry Prendes, who was killed in the line of duty in 2006, the camp is based in Cedar City, Utah and offers at-risk and foster youth a week-long immersive experience — including outdoor adventure, mentorship, and spiritual growth — at no cost to families. This summer, the camp hosted more than 160 campers over 11 weeks. To date, more than 750 youth from Las Vegas and surrounding areas have attended.
Funds raised at the Jamboree will support camper experiences, operations, and building costs.
