Nevada State Bank has made a three-year, $125,000 commitment to the Nevada Donor Network Foundation’s “End the Wait” campaign — a $35 million initiative to expand organ transplant services in Nevada so patients no longer have to leave the state for care.
Currently, Nevadans needing organ transplants other than a kidney or pancreas must travel out of state, creating significant financial and emotional burdens for patients and families. More than 700 Nevadans and 105,000 Americans are on transplant waiting lists today.
“This generous commitment brings us one step closer to ensuring that every Nevadan has access to transplant services without leaving home,” said Gordy Prouty, Nevada Donor Network Foundation President.
“We’re proud to help expand access to lifesaving transplant services so more Nevada families can receive specialized care closer to home,” added Terry Shirey, President and CEO of Nevada State Bank.
