For three decades, Southern Nevada physicians have swapped their white coats for microphones and guitars. The 30th Annual Serenades of Life – Doctors in Concert takes place Saturday, August 29 at Myron’s at The Smith Center. Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 6:30 p.m.
The milestone evening is headlined by Alter’d Ego — a nine-member group of musically gifted physicians and local professionals who have performed at all 30 events since the beginning. The concert raises funds for the Bonnie Schreck Memorial Complementary Therapies Program at Nathan Adelson Hospice.
This year’s Brad Garrett Humanitarian Award goes to Warren Wheeler, M.D., who has spent more than five decades advancing hospice and palliative medicine, pioneering compassionate pain management, and shaping legislation to improve end-of-life care.
“For 30 years, we’ve brought our community together to share talents, have a little fun and, most importantly, support the compassionate care that Nathan Adelson Hospice provides,” said Foundation Executive Director Caleen Norrod Johnson.
