The Proud to Rescue Benevolent Fund, a nonprofit founded by Clark County Firefighters, Local 1908, is hosting a charity poker tournament at South Point Hotel & Casino on Saturday, August 22.
Registration opens at 5:30 p.m. in the South Point Poker Room, with play starting at 6:30 p.m. Buy-in is $200, with optional $100 rebuys and a $100 add-on. The tournament guarantees a $15,000 prize pool, paid to the top nine finishers.
“If you’re a poker player, this is your invitation to come join us, win some cash while also supporting our local community,” said Ray LeClair, Fund Chairman. “All the proceeds stay here in Southern Nevada.”
Since 2013, the Fund has donated more than $430,000 to firefighter families and local charities, and awarded nearly $90,000 in scholarships to local high school seniors in memory of firefighters who died in the line of duty.
