The Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum has a full lineup of activities planned for families this summer, and most of it is included with the price of admission.
The museum’s STEAM Powered Summer Program runs from May 26 through August 7, offering weekly hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Regular programming includes live animal encounters, robotics labs, 3D design projects, touch pool interactions, and rotating talks on topics like sharks and arachnids — giving families something new to discover on every visit.
The season kicks off with a special event: MineFest: The Block Party on Friday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Inspired by the world of Minecraft, kids can dig into the real science behind minerals and resource extraction, learn about animals and their habitats, build their own terrariums, and take part in hands-on creative activities throughout the museum.
“Whether it’s experimenting, building, or interacting with live animals, we want every visit to spark curiosity and give kids a chance to explore science in a meaningful way,” said Valerie Miranda, Education Manager at the museum.
All summer programming is free with museum admission or membership.
