DISCOVERY Children’s Museum and Sphere announced today a partnership to present “Sphere Weekend,” featuring hands-on activities inspired by Sphere and its next-generation technologies. This two-day experience – on Saturday, August 9 and Sunday, August 10 – will take over the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum in downtown Las Vegas in celebration of art, technology and innovation.
“Our partnership with Sphere allows us to amplify our mission in an extraordinary way,” said Melissa Kaiser, CEO of DISCOVERY Children’s Museum. “Together, we’re creating a vibrant, hands-on experience that encourages innovation, critical thinking, and imagination—everything we believe STEAM education should inspire.”
“We want Sphere, and the technology that drives it, to inspire the next generation to pursue roles in STEAM-related fields,” said Rich Constable, EVP and Global Head of Government Relations and Social Impact at Sphere. “And, as part of our ongoing commitment to the greater-Las Vegas community, Sphere is proud to make a $125,000 investment in DISCOVERY’s youth education programs over the next five years.”
“Sphere Weekend” will be an art and tech-forward family-focused event designed to inspire local children and their families. The experience is open to guests of all ages and is included with general admission to the Museum.
