Vitalant — which provides blood to about 900 hospitals nationwide, including in Las Vegas — is urging eligible donors in the community to give blood and help ensure hospital patients can get lifesaving treatment without delay. Donors who give at one of the following open-to-the-public drives will be thanked with a voucher redeemable for a ticket to REAL BODIES at Horseshoe Las Vegas, plus 10-percent off select gift store merchandise.
REAL BODIES is an immersive journey through the human body, showcasing over 20 real, perfectly-preserved human specimens and more than 200 anatomical artifacts.

Every two seconds in the U.S. a patient needs blood, and it’s the blood already on the shelf that helps in an emergency.
Donors will help people like Daniella Ciriello, who depends on blood donors every three weeks due to a genetic blood disorder called beta thalassemia. Frequent transfusions continually help replenish the healthy red blood cells her body doesn’t produce enough of on its own.
