Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada announces the six extraordinary changemakers, humanitarians, and trailblazers they’ll be honoring at this year’s 15th Anniversary of the Dessert Before Dinner gala.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 13 from 6:00pm to 9:30pm at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas.
“Our six honorees are true changemakers, embodying the Girl Scout spirit. Their dedication to uplifting their communities inspires the next generation of young leaders to dream big and make a difference,” said Kimberly Trueba, CEO of Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada.
The honorees for this year’s gala include:

Ellen Whittemore—Advocate for Justice
Hospitality and Gaming Executive
Peter Guzman—Man Enough To Be A Girl Scout
President and CEO, Latin Chamber of Commerce
These remarkable individuals were chosen for their outstanding contributions to the community, their dedication to empowering future generations, and their commitment to making a lasting impact. Since its inception, Dessert Before Dinner has become one of Las Vegas’ most anticipated events, bringing together influential leaders, philanthropists, and the community for an evening of celebrating with Girl Scouts and raising awareness for female leadership.
Guests will enjoy dinner, entertainment, and an exclusive dessert experience crafted by top local chefs, using a signature Girl Scout cookie.
