The online auction of “The Chaser” — a former Nevada Highway Patrol-styled drag racer with a storied history in law enforcement and motorsports — raised $42,250 for the Injured Police Officers Fund (IPOF).
The check was presented by retired Nevada State Police Captain Jack Snyder on behalf of buyer Rodger Comstock. Originally driven by Snyder, The Chaser served as the centerpiece of his Racers Against Impaired Driving (RAID) program, which brought the car into Nevada classrooms to educate students about impaired driving from 1989 to 1996.
All proceeds benefit IPOF’s mission of supporting injured and fallen Southern Nevada law enforcement officers and their families.
