More than 1,500 volunteers spread across Southern Nevada recently for the 11th annual United Way of Southern Nevada Day of Caring, presented by PNC Bank. Kicking off with a celebration at Town Square Park, volunteers tackled more than 50 projects across the valley — enhancing school gardens, crafting wellness packages, caring for shelter pets, and more.
“Neighbors showing up for neighbors. That’s what Day of Caring is all about,” said Samuel Rudd, UWSN President and CEO. “Every volunteer who showed up was sending a simple message to our community: You matter.”
This year’s sponsors included PNC Bank, Barclays, The Athletics, Light & Wonder, Aristocrat, Greenberg Traurig, and CareSource.
