College seniors and graduate students looking to start their careers with purpose have until March 8, 2027 to apply for Teach For America Nevada’s 2027 corps.
The two-year, full-time paid position places corps members in under-resourced K-12 schools across Nevada, where they teach while developing leadership skills applicable to careers in education, policy, business, and public service. Applicants from all majors are welcome — a minimum 2.5 GPA is required, and seniors must earn their bachelor’s degree by June 2027.
Corps members are hired directly by their schools and receive the same starting salary, benefits, and vacation as other first-year teachers — currently approximately $57,471. Teach For America Nevada also provides a $4,000 stipend, access to graduate school scholarships, and potential AmeriCorps benefits including federal student loan forbearance and education awards.
In Nevada, corps members are placed in partnership with the Clark County School District to fill vacancies where educators are needed most.
“College students who have big ambitions don’t have to wait years into their careers to start making an impact,” said Tim Hughes, Executive Director of Teach For America Nevada.
