United Way of Southern Nevada, in partnership with NV Energy, is bringing free utility bill assistance directly to eligible seniors through four Project REACH Senior Expos this August.
Seniors ages 62 and older with past-due utility bills may qualify for up to $300 in assistance for electricity, water, trash, propane, or sewer bills. Those with past-due natural gas bills may also qualify for up to $400 through Southwest Gas’ Energy Share program. Representatives from NV Energy and Southwest Gas will be on-site to help with applications.
Expo Dates & Locations — all 8 a.m. to noon:
- August 18: Rio Convention Center, 3700 W. Flamingo Rd., Las Vegas
- August 20: Aliante Hotel & Casino, 7300 N. Aliante Pkwy., North Las Vegas
- August 25: Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, 5111 Boulder Hwy., Las Vegas
- August 27: Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, 5111 Boulder Hwy., Las Vegas
What to bring:
- Nevada Driver’s License or State ID
- Current past-due utility bill (address must match ID)
- Proof of recent or pending income
