A big month at The Mob Museum, headlined by a 60th anniversary celebration of one of Las Vegas’ most iconic resorts.
Caesars Palace at 60 — August 6, 7 p.m. | Free with admission
Jay Sarno Jr., son of Caesars Palace founder Jay Sarno, joins longtime Caesars executive Bill Weinberger Jr. and UNLV gaming historian David Schwartz for a panel discussion on the resort’s storied history — from its Mob-backed origins to its transformation of the Las Vegas Strip. A book signing follows. Worth an RSVP.
Goodfellas at The Beverly Theater — August 26, 7 p.m.
The Museum’s VP of Research Geoff Schumacher will introduce the Scorsese classic and stick around after the screening to separate fact from fiction. All August, show your Beverly Theater Mob Month ticket at the Museum box office (or your Museum wristband at the Beverly) for 20% off — a rare cross-venue deal worth taking advantage of.
