Delta Academy will offer an in-person community resource fair on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Open to the public, the resource fair is free to attend and will be held on-site at Delta Academy to support families in need across the Las Vegas Valley.
One of the key resources offered will include career path guidance through Vegas PBS’ Nevada Jobtimize service. Additional resources and information will be related to childcare, homelessness, mental health, counseling and more.
“At Delta Academy, we support not only our students and families, but also, our local community as a whole,” said Dr. Lashon Fredricks, high school principal of Delta Academy. “We are grateful to our incredible community partners who will be taking part in this resource fair to spread kindness and help local families throughout Southern Nevada.”
More than 20 local organizations are scheduled to attend, including The Harbor, Project 150, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southern Nevada, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV), Olive Crest, Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, Spring Mountain Treatment Center, Batteries Included, Goodwill of Southern Nevada and Pearson Community Center, among others.
