An evening of music, community, and purpose returns when Henry’s Place hosts its 6th Annual Country Jamboree fundraiser on Friday, October 3 at 6 p.m. at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa.
Founded in memory of fallen Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Henry Prendes, Henry’s Place is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free, faith-based summer camps for at-risk and foster youth from Las Vegas and surrounding areas.
Since 2016, the organization has impacted more than 500 children through immersive, life-changing experiences at its 14-acre Camp & Retreat Center in Cedar City, Utah.
This year’s Country Jamboree will be hosted by Bryan Chan and feature dinner, special performances by acclaimed entertainers Clint Holmes and Kelly Clinton, a live and silent auction, raffle prizes, testimonies from past campers, and more. All proceeds from the event will support future summer camps and help reduce outstanding debt from the construction of the camp facility.
“Every year, we see young lives transformed by their time at camp,” said Dawn Prendes-Morris, Founder of Henry’s Place. “The Jamboree makes those life-changing moments possible. It’s more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of hope.”
Henry’s Place Camp & Retreat Center features a 9,000-square-foot Main Lodge, two camper lodging cabins, two amphitheaters, a disc golf course, a challenge course, and expansive outdoor activity areas. This summer alone, the camp hosted 158 campers over 11 weeks, offering mentorship, outdoor adventure, and spiritual growth at no cost to participating families.
