Nevada Youth Soccer Association (NYSA) announced today that Jorge Sotelo has joined the team as program manager. In Sotelo’s new role, he will be responsible for serving as the tournament director and managing and maintaining all state-run tournaments and leagues, coordinating the Olympic Development Program (ODP), creating programs to help NYSA reach its goals, and providing resources to families within the organization.
Sotelo has worked within the sports industry for over a decade. He previously held positions with California State Soccer Association, Special Olympics World Games, Major League Soccer and Special Olympics Southern California. He has experience managing event operations for many sporting events in his former roles as well as experience in strategic marketing and community outreach.
“Jorge brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role, and we are excited to have him join our team and widespread efforts throughout Nevada,” said NYSA executive director Melanie Stafford. “We look forward to continuing to provide our community with resources to share the great sport of soccer to youth statewide.”
Sotelo holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in marketing from California State University, Fullerton.
