
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Brown Blankfeld Group hosted its sixth annual Chefs for Kids Golf Tournament raising $16,233 for the program. The sold out four-man Florida Scramble style tournament at Painted Desert Golf Club took place Sunday, October 9. “Through community supporters like Brown Blankfeld Group, our education programs are made possible,” said Chef Christopher Johns, Chairman of Chefs for Kids. “You’ll want to sign up next time because this team gets creative with famous fun holes that have you teeing off with various kitchen items like a cheese grater. It takes the game to a whole new level of fun and philanthropy.”
Chefs for Kids, in partnership with the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and ACF Chefs of Las Vegas provides a year-long nutrition education program to students in 13 at-risk schools in Clark County. The program aims to teach children about the benefits of healthy food and physical activity. Volunteers donate more than 3,000 hours yearly to prepare and serve 9,000 breakfasts for children each school year, and raise funds to support this program.
