Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada (CCSN) has reopened its St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility, welcoming back community members indoors for its Free Community Meal, served daily starting at 10 a.m.

On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, Catholic Charities addressed donors, founders and volunteers to share brief remarks and commemorate the grand reopening of the facility, which underwent renovations in 2021. Bishop Gregory W. Gordon attended to ceremonially bless the first meal attended by 1,000 community members.
The reopening of the facility also welcomes back the opportunity for members of the community to volunteer their time to help those in need. Those interested can visit CatholicCharities.volunteerhub.com to view and sign-up for various volunteering activities.
In November 2020, out of precaution for COVID considerations, CCSN temporarily moved operation of the daily meal service to another part of campus by constructing a multipurpose Outdoor Pavilion. The space offered a safe provisional location where clients could still attend to receive a hot and nourishing meal.
Established in 1965, the St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility provides nutritious meals to men, women, and children in need every day of the year. This meal is free and open to the public. It also serves men from CCSN’s Renewing Hope Program and residents of the St. Vincent Apartments.
CCSN relies on the ongoing contributions of donors. Those interested in contributing, can visit www.catholiccharities.com.
