Family to Family Connection, a nonprofit that empowers parents and caretakers with the tools to provide a safe and nurturing environment for their children through parent education and community networking, has been awarded a grant of up to $30,000 through Cashman Family Foundation.
With the help of the grant, Family to Family Connection can continue its mission and expand its programming to include outreach to neighborhoods where families may not have transportation, in addition to providing more classes to families who are expecting a baby or have a newborn.
Grant contributions can be made online at www.gofundme.com/family2familyconnectionand will be matched 100% for donations up to $30,000 through August 11th.
Family to Family Connection serves families with children from birth to age five at its center, located at 3900 S. Cambridge St., inside the Cambridge Community Center. Classes and programs offered include pre-kindergarten readiness, development activities, visits from community partners and monthly field trips. All classes are free but require advance registration in-person or by phone.
