
LAS VEGAS (September 22, 2016) –United Way of Southern Nevada is proud to announce Day of Caring on Friday September 30, 2016, its largest, one-day community-wide volunteer event celebrating the spirit and value of volunteering.
“This event brings together the collective power of the community on one day with a united purpose of lending a helping hand to make a difference,” said Bob Morgan, United Way of Southern Nevada President and CEO. “Volunteers who join us will have the opportunity to transform nonprofit organizations and schools, improve neighborhood safety and build morale to create a better community.”
With Visionary Sponsors including Amerigroup Nevada, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, Nevada Volunteers, Greenspun Media Group and The Korte Company, over 1,000 volunteers are needed to help community organizations and schools who serve thousands of families and children. With activities ranging from beautification projects, planting gardens, creating murals, assembling dental kits, and cleaning books, volunteers will see the far-reaching impact of their work.
