NASCAR driver Joey Gase returned to Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the South Point 400 race weekend to honor three local organ, eye and tissue donor heroes in partnership with Nevada Donor Network.

Gase’s race car featured the images of Derek Klein (Las Vegas), George Phillip Kull (Reno) and Michael J. Monroe, Jr. (Las Vegas), whose legacies live on through the lives they saved and healed through donation.
Ahead of race day, Gase met privately with donor families during a dinner hosted at Nevada Donor Network’s headquarters, where loved ones shared “Messages of Hope” that were also displayed on his car.
Gase, who lost his mother in 2011 and has since become a national advocate for donation, spoke about his personal connection to this cause and the importance of honoring donor heroes and their families on a national platform like NASCAR.
Nevada Donor Network has partnered with Gase since 2013 to raise awareness for donation and to celebrate the courageous individuals who give the gift of life.
