Thanks to a Back-to-School Supply Drive organized by the Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation, students served by the nonprofit Assisting Lives in Las Vegas will have the school supplies they need for a successful school year.
Today, the team at Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation dropped off thousands of items, including notebooks, pencils, crayons, folders, and erasers at Assisting Lives in Las Vegas’ Our School Boutique.
Our School Boutique is the nonprofit’s signature community program. Each year, the Clark County School District refers about 5,000 students to visit the “boutique” and pick out a week’s worth of brand-new clothing, shoes, and a hygiene kit. As a result of the school supply drive, students can also receive necessary supplies for the classroom.
The public was invited to drop off school supply donations at various locations including the Olympia Management Office, Skye Center, Skye Fitness, and Aspire Coffee House as part of this year’s drive.
Olympia Companies Charitable Foundation is a long-time supporter of Assisting Lives in Las Vegas, formerly known as Assistance League of Las Vegas. Since 2005, the Foundation has contributed over $1.4 million directly to the nonprofit.
