Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV) will host its 44th annual Kids Day Out on Saturday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Held at the Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse in Henderson, Kids Day Out will unite BGCSNV youth ages 8-12 together with local mentors, volunteers and business organizations for a day of fun, food and games in an outdoor carnival setting.
To help bring the event to life, BGCSNV is seeking volunteer mentors to be paired with youth Club members, as well as community sponsors to provide financial support, manage activity stations, contribute in-kind donations and volunteer at booths.
Current sponsors include Buffalo Wild Wings Foundation, NV Energy Foundation, Southwest Gas Foundation, Caesars Foundation, Bank of America, Cox Communications, Credit One Bank, Maxx Crosby Foundation, Las Vegas Raiders, America First Credit Union, Kalb Industries, Altura Presents, Olson Precast Company, Jamba Juice, Anderson Dairy, Fiiz Drinks, The Library District Las Vegas-Clark County, Relentless Muscle Car Club and Graffiti Park.
To align with BGCSNV’s programming, the event will offer a variety of interactive activity stations related to health and wellness, career exploration, arts, education, sports, and leadership. Activities will include sports competitions, oversized Jenga, STEM projects, face painting, and a friendship bracelet station, among others. Additionally, local police officers, FBI, representatives from Red Rock Search and Rescue will be in attendance, providing insights into their careers and organizations.
