Record $92K Raised For Ronald McDonald House Las Vegas

Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Greater Las Vegas hosted the 17th Annual Runnin’ for the House 5K Run & Fun Walk on Saturday, April 17th, raising more than $92,000 to benefit families with critically ill children, a record fundraising total for the event.

A small in-person 5K run was held at Floyd Lamb Park with hundreds of other participants taking part virtually in their neighborhoods throughout the day. The event hosted 780+ participants this year, with supporters completing the run or walk from as far away as Illinois, Iowa, Florida, Colorado, and Washington.

The event was supported by numerous local businesses, including the Presenting Sponsor McDonald’s, Gold Medal Sponsors Lexus of Las Vegas, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and UFC, and Bronze Medal Sponsors Clark County Credit Union, Johnstone Supply, Frazier & Deeter CPAs & Advisors, and Boyd Gaming. Plus, our media sponsor, iHeartRadio, provided music at the start/finish line of the event.

Funds raised from this event stay locally to benefit RMHC® and our mission of providing a “home away from home” for families who travel to Las Vegas for their children to receive critical medical care. In 2020, RMHC Las Vegas housed 198 families for a total of 2,156 nights, saving families $259,388 in lodging costs.
