Las Vegas, NV – Carl’s Jr.® and their very own Star Diner food trucks will roll into Las Vegas Monday, May 22 through Wednesday, May 24 to serve up free half-sized samples of their new Baby Back Rib Burgers while helping United Way of Southern Nevada serve the community.
The Baby Back Rib Burger features real, boneless, baby back ribs that are charbroiled and dipped in sweet and smoky Cattleman’s® Original BBQ Sauce. The ribs are then stacked on one of the chains’ famous, charbroiled beef patties, topped with crispy onion strings and pickles, and served on a premium, brioche-style bun.
A donation to support United Way’s second annual Day of Caring on September 29, 2017 will be encouraged, but not required, to receive a free sample.
Day of Caring is one day dedicated to volunteering and improving people’s lives. Last year 1,000 volunteers completed more than 90 projects at nearly 40 nonprofit agencies and local schools, such as painting school playgrounds and classrooms, assembling food backpacks for children and planting gardens.
This year, to celebrate United Way of Southern Nevada’s 60th Anniversary serving Southern Nevada, $60,000 will be split among participating nonprofits and schools to boost the volunteer efforts.
“Donations collected during the Carl’s Jr. stops will help us purchase paint, shovels, gloves and other supplies for this year’s Day of Caring,” said Chris Cappas, United Way of Southern Nevada’s vice president of volunteer engagement and human resources. “Just like the volunteer event, every hour and dollar adds up to create a true day of change, giving and caring for our community.”
