Opportunity Village is inviting the community to support the organization and its participation in the national Brackets for Good tournament, starting Friday, February 24. Opportunity Village was selected from over 1,500 nonprofits who applied to take part and is the only Nevada organization participating in the online fundraising tournament. Designed to follow the format of NCAA’s “March Madness,” OV and 63 additional nonprofits from across the U.S. will be competing for donations and the top prize, a $100,000 grand prize.
Organizations go head-to-head in a single elimination, bracket-style fundraising tournament at http://www.bfg.org. During each weeklong round, donors visit bfg.org, select the nonprofits they wish to support and donate money to help them advance to the next round ($1 = 1 Point). At the end of each round, the nonprofit with more points advances and the points reset.
The tournament begins on Friday, February 24 and has five rounds, each lasting a week. All donations must be made on http://www.bfg.org to count in the tournament. About Brackets for Good: Brackets For Good is an Indianapolis, IN based 501(c)3 charitable organization focused on activating new donors, and increasing awareness for other nonprofit organizations through competitive, online fundraising at no cost.
