LAS VEGAS, September 23, 2016 – Henry’s Place Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, formed in 2006 to honor Las Vegas Metro Sergeant Henry Prendes who gave his life in the line of duty protecting a victim of domestic violence in his hometown community, will host the 10th Annual Henry Prendes Charity Golf Classic at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at the exclusive Spanish Trail Country Club. Registration is open now.
Over the last decade, tremendous progress has been made at Henry’s Place, the 14-acre camp and retreat facility located in Cedar City, UT. Earlier this year, Henry’s Place held its inaugural camp session with a dozen at-risk and foster youth from the Valley. Through the continuous support of this community, Henry’s Place has received more than $400,000 worth of infrastructure development at a cost of less than $100,000 to date.
“This summer, Henry’s Place held its first session for an extraordinary group of young men from various organizations in town and we saw Henry’s dream come true,” said Dawn Prendes, Henry’s widow and founder of Henry’s Place Foundation. “We could not have done that without the continued support and generosity of our community and we look forward to providing many more life-changing experiences for our youth for years to come!”
