Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas (HFHLV) today announced that Erin McGarry will join the organization as part of its Board of Directors.
In this role Ms. McGarry will assist HFHLV achieve its mission, contribute to shaping the overarching strategy and direction of the organization, and assist with the fiduciary oversight of fiscal matters to ensure that funds are managed responsibly and with care.
“With her deep roots in our community, and her experience in nonprofit and foundations, Erin has a
great understanding of the dynamics modern philanthropic organizations need to succeed,” said Angela
Phillips, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas. “We are extremely pleased to have serve
on our Board of Directors and look forward to her representing HFHLV in the community.”
Ms. McGarry is a Nevada native and a graduate of Bishop Gorman High School. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as well as a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of Southern California (USC).
She has previously served in the office of Senator Cortez-Masto, and on behalf of the Armenian General
Benevolent Union (AGBU). Ms. McGarry is currently the Chief Granting Officer for the Engelstad Family
Foundation.
“Las Vegas is my hometown, and I have had the opportunity to watch HFHLV provide support to the
community for many years,” said Ms. McGarry. “I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with an
organization that has as much passion for our community as I do.”
