Miracle Flights, a Las Vegas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing free commercial airline flights to those in need of reaching life-changing medical care, announced today several changes in their events department.
Kathy Roller, who most recently served as Special Events and Partnership DevelopmentManager, has been promoted to Director of Events and Cassandra Castanino was hired as Events Coordinator and will report directly to Roller. Roller andCastanino will lead Miracle Flights local and national events that increase brand awareness and raise critical funds.
“Being a visible partner in the communities we serve will be essential to more families learning about Miracle Flights and the growth of our organization,” said Mark E. Brown, CEO of Miracle Flights. “Kathy and Cassie play an important role in increasing the awareness of Miracle Flights in Southern Nevada and nationwide.”
Kathy Roller: Kathy Roller began her career with Miracle Flights in 2017 as Special Events and Partnership Development Manager where she launched large-scalecommunity events such as Carnival in the Clouds, Swings for Wings, and most recently Miracle Flights inaugural signature fundraising event SOARée. Prior to joining Miracle Flights, Roller held marketing and outreach positions for Move Your Mountain and United Cerebral Palsy of Nevada. In addition, Roller has been a featured content creator for Today Parents, Medium, among others. Roller holds a B.S.B.A. in finance with a concentration in banking and investing from East Carolina University.
Cassandra Castanino: Cassandra Castanino is the Events Coordinator for Miracle Flights working with community supporters to increase awareness and develop long lasting relationships that help expand and continue the mission of Miracle Flights.Castanino brings to her role over 20 years of experience in event coordinating and planning. Castanino earned an Associate of Science Degree in culinary arts from The Art Institute of Las Vegas.
