Goodwill of Southern Nevada (Goodwill®) is proud to announce the arrival of Kamalisha “Kam” Green as vice president of mission programs.
Kam’s leadership of Goodwill workforce development teams and programs of service draws on her extensive experience as an educator. Prior to joining Goodwill, Kam led Learning and Development and Workforce initiatives at CVS Health, where her efforts were recognized with the 2021 CVS Health Breakthrough Award.
Previously she founded Rethink Afterschool, a company which provided professional development and enrichment programs to students and educators at pre-K and elementary schools in Washington, D.C., Hawaii, and points in between. She launched her education career at Two Rivers Public Charter School in Washington, D.C., where Kam served as a teacher and developed a program to support students transitioning to high school.
In her role, Kam oversees strategic initiatives involving Goodwill’s programs of service to both community members and internal team members.
“Since joining Goodwill last fall, Kam has primed our workforce development professionals to refine and expand our innovative approach and programs of service,” said Karen Marben, chief mission services officer at Goodwill of Southern Nevada. “With new training facilities and train-to-hire programs in our sights, Kam’s collaborative and thoughtful approach serves the Goodwill mission exceedingly well.”
Kam earned a B.A. in English Writing from Lake Forest College in Illinois, where she joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is also Master Instructor and Regional Lead for American Red Cross.
When she is not serving Goodwill and the community, Kam enjoys writing, hiking, teaching, and performing improv.
