DISCOVERY Children’s Museum welcomes Caitlin Shea as the new vice president of development as of May 9, 2022. Shea returns to DISCOVERY after caregiving for her mother who battled pancreatic cancer for a year and a half.

“We are thrilled to have Caitlin Shea rejoin the Museum team as the new VP of Development,” says Melissa D. Kaiser, CEO of DISCOVERY Children’s Museum. “Shea’s extensive background in fundraising and deep roots in Southern Nevada will have a tremendous impact on the Museum. We look forward to the many opportunities she will bring to the Museum.”
Shea is a native of Las Vegas, and has more than 12 years of professional fundraising experience in the local community. Before rejoining the DISCOVERY team, Shea served in executive roles with Coordinated Living of Southern Nevada, Junior Achievement, HomeAid Southern Nevada and Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Throughout her career, she has been honored to serve the community in a variety of ways, and as a DISCOVERY kid herself, can’t wait to bring a lifelong love of learning to every child in Southern Nevada.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to return to the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum and this amazing team. It is a privilege to raise money for such an incredible organization which is leading the way in how we approach education and accessibility with innovative strategies and partnerships,” says Shea
