Nathan Adelson Hospice announced the promotion of Angela Collins to chief operating officer, as well as her appointment to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s (NHPCO) Quality and Standards Committee.
In her role with the committee, Collins will assist in their efforts to promote quality hospice and community-based palliative care through NHPCO programmatic initiatives, update the NHPCO Standards of Practice for Hospice Programs – including systematic ongoing review and revision of the Standards document to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices – and develop NHPCO quality resources, including performance measures, performance improvement resources, and hospice quality reporting program support materials.
Over the past twenty years, Collins has shown skill and leadership in clinical services, acute care, palliative, and hospice care. Most recently, she held the position of Regional Vice President of Hospice and Palliative Care for Compassus. Previously she served as Area Vice President of Operations for Kindred at Home, and Hospice Executive Consultant for Honor Hospice.
Collins earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wyoming, and a Master of Business Administration from Baker College, Michigan. She is also a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) and a Certified Hospice Administrator.
