Las Vegas, NV – Thanks to the support and generosity of donors, the Ronald McDonald House® served 306 families for a total of 2,953 nights in 2019, saving families $391,627 in lodging costs.
Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Greater Las Vegas released its 2019 Impact Report, highlighting the impact donors had on RMHC’s mission to improve the health, education, and well-being of children in the community.
More than 78 cents of every dollar donated to the organization, in 2019, directly helped families. Other highlights include:
◇More than 18,000 moms, dads, and other family members visited the Ronald McDonald Family Room® steps away from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sunrise Children’s Hospital.
◇The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® provided dental treatment to 1,081 children across the state. The mobile dental unit is operated in partnership with Nevada Health Centers.
◇More than 38,000 healthy sack lunches in brightly decorated bags were prepared and delivered to families at Sunrise Children’s Hospital, University Medical Center, and Summerlin Hospital as part of the Lunch Is On Us! program.
◇RMHC Las Vegas, along with McDonalds® and other community partners, awarded $141,250 in scholarships to 133 high school graduates and returning college students in Spring 2020. Since 1999, RMHC has awarded more than $4.4M in scholarships to eligible students.
Since opening in 1998, the Ronald McDonald House has served 5,154 families for a total of 63,822 nights. Sixty-two percent of families who stay at the House come from low-to-moderate income households. To view the full 2019 Impact Report, click HERE or head to www.rmhlv.org.
