Highly Discounted School Supplies For Teachers
Teacher EXCHANGE is open!
An essential stop for public school teachers, who are gathering classroom supplies for the school year, is The Public Education Foundation’s Teacher EXCHANGE.
The Teacher EXCHANGE – a year-round resource center for public school teachers that can save them hundreds of dollars annually in out-of-pocket expenses for classroom supplies – has officially opened for the new school year.
A study released this year by the National Center of Education Statistics found that public school teachers spend, on average, about $480 in out-of-pocket expenses annually on classroom supplies; many teachers spend much more than that amount.
How it works:
The Teacher EXCHANGE operates on a points system. Licensed professionals in public schools receive 500 points for a $25 donation. Donations offset some of the Teacher EXCHANGE’s operational expenses.
Hours:
During the summer, the Teacher EXCHANGE is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Once the school year begins August 13, the Teacher EXCHANGE is scheduled to be open for shopping on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where:
The Teacher EXCHANGE is located at 4350 South Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89118.
