Grand Canyon Development Partners (GCDP), a full-service project management company based in Las Vegas, has announced Core, powered by The Rogers Foundation, as the first recipient of its Developing Dreams nonprofit award.
As recipient, GCDP will award pro bono construction management services to Core. Core serves more than 175 “Scholars” and their families, providing holistic and comprehensive programming including academic support, leadership development, whole family wraparound services, enrichment opportunities, and college/career readiness.
“We are humbled and so appreciative of being named the inaugural recipient of the Developing Dreams award,” said Lindsay Harper, Executive Director of Core. “The generosity of Sam Nicholson and the team at Grand Canyon is so meaningful and the results will positively impact not only our current young people in Core but their families as well. The new space will allow us to serve even more student-scholars in the community well into the future. We can’t wait to get started.”
Created by Sam Nicholson, President of Grand Canyon Development Partners, Developing Dreams will annually award one local nonprofit with pro bono construction management services for one qualifying project. Projects may include renovating an existing building, developing a new facility, or expanding a current structure.
“We are honored to support Core, one of southern Nevada’s incredible charities, with the construction of their future resource center,” said Nicholson. “We will be able to leverage our project experience and contacts within the construction industry to assist Core in achieving their dream and in turn, helping the many students and their families that Core supports achieve their dreams.”
