The PENTA Cares Foundation, the charitable arm of The PENTA Building Group, raised $235,000 to support four Southern Nevada nonprofits during its 21st Annual Charity Golf Classic. The event brought together golfers from a wide range of companies, vendors and clients for a day of giving back and friendly competition.
Each of the four benefiting nonprofits — Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NVCCF), Women’s Development Center (WDC), Nevada Military Support Alliance (NMSA) and Special Olympics Nevada — received a monetary donation from the event’s proceeds. These annual contributions from PENTA CARES help sustain vital programs and services that directly impact the Southern Nevada community.

Since 1993, the mission of Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation is to provide social, educational, financial and psychological support services and programs to families of all children diagnosed with life threatening or critical illnesses such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, renal, blood and immunologic diseases and to provide healing arts and wellness programs to adults touched by cancer as well as to chronically ill children and their caregivers.
WDC provides transitional/affordable housing and related services to at risk and homeless families. In 1990, WDC began administering its Transitional Housing (TH) Program, targeting homeless women with children. Since that time, WDC has expanded its mission to address the gaps in housing/support services for individuals and families in need in Clark County.
Since 2003, the NMSA works to organize and promote the recognition, support and appreciation for men and women in the armed forces. The donation from PENTA CARES will continue supporting families of fallen service members and those who have returned home from the battlefield with injuries.
Special Olympics Nevada provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in various Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This allows them to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and share gifts, skills, and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
For more than 20 years, PENTA Cares has contributed more than $13 Million to over 489 organizations across the company’s regions. In addition to financial support, PENTA employees and their families generously volunteer thousands of hours each year to nonprofits throughout Las Vegas, Southern California and Phoenix, strengthening community ties through hands-on involvement.
