It’s November and that means it’s Adopt a Senior Pet Month! At Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions, about a dozen older feline companions are waiting to meet you—and we’ve made it easy to adopt! From Tuesday, November 5 through Sunday, November 17, senior cats age 10+ are available for just $25! In addition, we have a special Seniors-for-Seniors promotion, where humans age 65+ can adopt a senior cat age 10+ for FREE!
Don’t let their age or couch potato personality fool you!For many people, adopting an older pet has a big advantage over a younger one. With age comes experience, often making these older guys and gals champion snugglers and polite family members. They just want someone to love them! Not to mention, just like a fine wine, they get better with age!
A few of Homeward Bound’s senior kitties include:
Sweetie Pie, age 11: She’s a social gal initially found outside after being abandoned by her family. She was adopted and then returned (the other kitties in the home didn’t like her), yet she’s not bothered by the adventure. She’s a happy, loving, sweet senior who just wants someone to call her own!
Rotor, age 10: The ultimate Boss Man! He’s strong, opinionated, confident, with a secret soft side. He LOVES toys and has a youthful playful energy. His challenge? He doesn’t like other cats. The silver lining to that? He adores human attention, so a couch-surfing, toy-flinging friend is the way to his heart!
Callie, age 13: She loves to sit atop a cat tree and watch over her surroundings. She is sweet and affectionate, with a dash of shyness mixed in when you first meet her. She needs a special diet for a sensitive tummy, but all she really wants is LOVE!
Momz, age 11: It’s been a bumpy road for Momz. She was the product of a broken marriage and lost her home. She was scared and distrustful at first, but with care and compassion, she now shows off her affectionate side! She would benefit from a gentle family who will help her continue to thrive and love her unconditionally.
To adopt, visit Homeward Bound at 2675 East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, open Tuesdays through Sundays, from 12 noon until 6 pm daily. Standard adoption policies apply.
All cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Many adult cats have also had additional health exams or medical care, as needed, to ensure their quality of life is good as they move into the Golden Years.
Can’t adopt but still want to help a senior cat? Consider a donation! Many senior cats have a longer length of stay so your donation will help us give them the best chance at finding a home.
