Cox Charities, the philanthropic arm of Cox Las Vegas, has awarded $163,000 in grants to 34 local nonprofit organizations, including $20,000 to support the Donna Street Community Center, $19,400 to Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth and $15,000 for Dress for Success Southern Nevada.
Cox Charities is funded largely by Cox employee contributions through a workplace giving campaign and fundraisers including an annual golf tournament. More than $3 million in Cox Charities grants have been awarded to nonprofits in Southern Nevada since 2007 with a charitable focus on programs that support children and families, diversity, the environment/sustainability and STEAM education and initiatives.
