The Professional Fire Fighters of Nevada (PFFN) is proud to announce a series of impactful events to commemorate the heroes lost on 9/11 while raising funds for local charity organizations that provide support and resources to first responders. The lineup includes a Freedom Ride at EOS Fitness on West Sahara, the Strat Climb, and the highly anticipated September 11 Tribute Procession on Fremont Street.
The Freedom Ride, on West Sahara (8125 W. Sahara Ave) beginning at 5:46 AM, will feature 343 minutes of riding to honor the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on September 11th. This is open event and is one per minute to ride. Participants can register now; proceeds will benefit the PFFN Benevolent Fund, Burn Foundation, and LEAF (Law Enforcement Assistance Fund).
In partnership with the Strat Climb, PFFN invites fire, EMS, police, and military personnel to take part in the charity stair climb. Registration is $30, with all proceeds supporting the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation, Southern Nevada Burn Foundation, and the Vegas Fire and Rescue Charitable Association. The climb will kick- off at 8 AM followed by toast to the fallen at PT’s Pub inside The Strat.
The day of remembrance will culminate at the PFFN’s annual September 11 Tribute Procession, beginning at 7 PM on Fremont Street. First responders and military members will lead the memorial march, followed by a moment of silence, toast, and collation in collaboration with Hogs & Heifers and the Downtown Grand. The procession encourages both locals and tourists to join in paying respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
