Credit One Bank, a pillar in the Las Vegas community, continued its support for Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS) and the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY) with a donation of notebooks, backpacks, school supplies and a check for $5,036. Supplies were donated by Credit One Bank employees over a four-week period.
“Credit One Bank aims to equip students with the necessary tools to thrive in the classroom and beyond,” said Todd Mayhew, Chief Human Resources Officer at Credit One Bank. “We are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Southern Nevada students and helping them reach their full potential.”
This is Credit One Bank’s seventh year supporting the Fill the Bus school supply drive, furthering its mission of uplifting schools and providing students with the supplies needed to have a successful school year. Another way the Bank supports local students is through the One For The Community Scholarship program. Since its inception, the scholarship has supported 26 local graduating high school seniors, providing them with up to $10,000 during each of their college careers.
For over a decade, the Fill the Bus school drive has raised supplies for students and their families in the Clark County School District. With each new school year, it is critical that students have the tools they need to perform to the best of their abilities, and Communities in Schools of Nevada helps ensure those needs are met.
