HopeLink of Southern Nevada, a nonprofit focused on preventing homelessness, has announced Dani Sparks as its new Chief Social Services Officer. Sparks previously held the position of Director of Housing, which allowed her to directly impact the lives of those affected by homelessness and domestic violence. Sparks will play an integral role in HopeLink’s work as they embark on an ambitious capital campaign to meet the accelerating homelessness crisis.
In her new role, Sparks will lead all phases of the nonprofit’s program management across housing, financial stability, and family support services as well as assist in overall planning, staffing, and execution of agency initiatives. Sparks will continue working directly with the chief operating officer and the chief financial officer, providing stability between departments and ensuring HopeLink’s programs are budgeted, executed, and administered properly.
Sparks’ Rapid Rehousing programs have been a beacon of hope for southern Nevada and were recognized by Clark County’s Continuum of Care for its low recidivism rate. As the top Rapid Rehousing provider in the monitoring competition, HopeLink’s programs have not just provided immediate relief but also paved the way for a brighter future for those in need, providing hope and a path to self-sufficiency.
Sparks’ work in housing is deeply personal. As a person with lived experience in domestic violence and homelessness, she’s passionate about making a lasting impact in the lives of HopeLink clients and the overall community. Sparks’ firsthand experience has fostered a sincere commitment to the affordable housing movement and drove the Housing First model implemented at HopeLink in 2018.
Outside of Sparks’ vital work at HopeLink, she cherishes spending time with her four children and granddaughter but still makes time for advocacy in the domestic violence community and volunteering with Safe Nest.
