All fitness and spin cycle enthusiasts are invited to experience a great workout during the ‘spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures event’ while raising money to help the 30,000 Nevadans affected by inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures is a high-energy indoor cycling event happening at TruFusion Summerlin on Friday, April 28, 2023.
Riders can ask friends, family, and co-workers to support their ride. There are several 30-minute spin sessions on April 28 in which to participate. You do not need to be a highly experienced spin cycle rider to participate! Registration information can be found at https://spin4crohnscolitiscures.crohnscolitisfoundation.org/event/LasVegas2023
The spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures event is hosted by the Nevada Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation in partnership with presenting sponsor Bank of Nevada and the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. Funds raised through the event by spin riders will support vital research efforts and also be used to create additional resources for IBD patients in southern Nevada.
IBD is a lifelong condition that can often be debilitating and lead to life-threatening complications. Due to the low number of southern Nevada physicians specializing in IBD and the high number of patients, many affected must travel out-of-state for treatment which requires time away from work and additional travel and lodging expenses.
“Most of us may know someone affected by IBD, either through co-workers, friends or family,” said Jennifer Campbell, executive director, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Nevada Chapter. “The spin4 event is a great opportunity to have fun and challenge your fitness goals while raising money that will directly impact the IBD community in Nevada.”
To help increase the impact of this year’s event, the Marshall Family Philanthropic Fund has generously agreed to match the funds raised at spin4 crohn’s & colitis cures up to $100,000!
“The challenges posed by IBD affect some of our team members directly, which is one of the reasons Bank of Nevada is proud to support this event,” said Bob Cerminaro, division CEO, Bank of Nevada. “We encourage the community to join together and help raise funds for research and greater awareness.”
