Nevada State Bank raised more than $8,500 for Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada (JASN) from July 1-Aug. 31. Throughout the campaign period, $1 was donated to JASN from every qualified Zelle® digital payment or Bill Pay transaction.
“We’re delighted to provide this additional gift in support of Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada and its efforts to teach students about financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship,” said EVP/Director of Marketing Micah Phillips. “Nevada State Bank has a long history of partnering with JASN through fundraising, volunteering in local schools, and serving on the nonprofit’s board of directors and committees. We look forward to continuing our efforts that contribute to building a stronger workforce and a better future for our community.”
Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada provides financial literacy education programs to K-12 students with an age-appropriate curriculum that spans from budget management to economic principles, workforce, entrepreneurial skills, and credit. The organization was founded locally in 1996 and has reached more than 450,000 students in the Las Vegas area with the help of 285 businesses and 6,800 business role models.
