Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Specialist Elevated to Director of Bleeding & Clotting Disorders Clinic
Cure 4 The Kids Foundation (C4K), Nevada’s premier pediatric cancer and rare disease treatment center, has promoted Dr. Aimee Foord to director of the Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Clinic.
C4K’s Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Clinic provides treatment based on clinical excellence and compassionate care and emphasizes individual prevention services to reduce or eliminate complications. Every patient receives care from a team of providers skilled in treating hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, sickle cell disease, and many other bleeding disorders.

Clinic staff provides expertise in the ongoing management of bleeding disorders, emergency consultations, hematologic management for surgeries and dental procedures, physical therapy, and medication needs. A board-certified hematologist is available to patients 24/7, 365 days a year.
Dr. Foord’s promotion comes 18 months after joining C4K. Board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology, Foord earned her doctorate in osteopathic medicine at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her postgraduate pediatric hematology/oncology training included a residency at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. In 2016, Dr. Foord completed a three-year fellowship at the University of California, Irvine, under the leadership of Dr. Diane Nugent, a nationally-recognized expert in pediatric hematology. While at Irvine, Foord’s research focused on pediatric bleeding, thrombosis, and oncologic diseases, with a special interest in pediatric hematology.
