In honor of Adopt a Cat Month, Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions (Homeward Bound) is hosting a special adoption event. From June 22 through June 26, all adoption fees are waived on adult cats 12 months and over! Choose from adult cats of all shapes, sizes, ages and purrsonalities.
They all need to find a home—YOUR home! Standard adoption policies apply.
“As we start to see an increasing cat population in throughout Las Vegas, which is normal this time of year, we want to be proactive and also help our adult cats find the homes they deserve. We have so many wonderful adult cats at our adoption center, and by waiving fees to help them find loving new homes, we’re making space for the cats and kittens that truly need it—those who have nowhere else to go,” said Christi Dineff, Executive Director for Homeward Bound. “I know there so many great families out there looking to adopt, so if you’ve been considering adding a cat to your family, now is the time!”
Adoptions are held in-person at the Homeward Bound adoption center, located at 2675 East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, from 12 noon until 6pm daily. Adult cats will be free to adopt Wednesday, June 22 through Sunday, June 26. Kittens, as they are available, will also be at the adoption center; their adoption fees start at $150.
All cats are spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. Many adults have also received other medical care, as needed. These services cost over $300 per cat on average for Homeward Bound to provide. Donations are always welcome to help cover the cost of care. As a nonprofit, charitable organization, Homeward Bound relies on donations to help sustain their mission and continue their lifesaving support programs for people and pets.
For those who can’t adopt, Homeward Bound does have two other urgent needs:
- Donations to help cover daily costs of care and offset the waiving of adoption fees.
- Supplies to support cats in care and people caring for cats in the community. Urgent items needed are featured on Homeward Bound’s wish lists, available on Amazon orChewy.
