Thanks to event participants and sponsors, Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada’s (RTSNV) second annual “Swing Fore Safe Homes” charity golf event raised $40,000.
The funds will allow the nonprofit to provide critical repairs to approximately five homes at no cost to low-income homeowners, including seniors, veterans and people with disabilities.
“As we continue to battle COVID-19, it’s more important than ever for our clients, about half of whom are seniors, to be able to remain in their homes safely,” said RTSNV Executive Director Bob Cleveland. “The need for assistance has steadily increased since the start of the pandemic. Our goal is to repair 500 homes this year and events like this are vital to our ability to do that. Critical repairs like replacing roofs, HVAC systems and plumbing, are expensive, but we’re able to stretch every dollar raised to $5, helping even more seniors age safely in their homes.”
The charity golf tournament was held on Monday, Sept. 27 at the Reflection Bay Golf Club in Henderson.
Approximately 108 golfers participated and sponsors included: The PENTA CARES Foundation; MMC Contractors; Albertsons Companies Foundation; Southwest Specialty Contractors; Climatec; Subaru of Las Vegas; Charity Golf International; CBRE; Johnson Controls; Alt Group at NextHome Community Real Estate; Meow Wolf; Blue Heron; Chris & Martha Carter; Mechanical Products Nevada; KHS&S Contractors; Commercial Roofers, Inc.; ORG Property Management & Portfolio Management; Koldair Heating & Air Conditioning; and KVVU-TV.
