HomeAid Southern Nevada, in partnership with Finance of America Cares and the CARE Complex, distributed nearly 300 backpacks containing essential items to help those experiencing homelessness.
Backpacks were distributed at the CARE Complex which is near the city’s homeless courtyard center and across the street form Catholic Charities which has an overnight men’s shelter.
The initiative was funded in part by a grant provided by Finance of America Cares. The total value of all backpacks distributed equates to more than $6,000.
The HomeAid Southern Nevada chapter is the official outreach partner of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association (SNHBA). Since opening its doors, more than 200,000 square feet have been renovated for those in need, including more than 5,400 homeless children and adults that have been served through the great work of countless builders, trades, sponsors and volunteers involved with HomeAid Southern Nevada.
