LAS VEGAS —Jewish Nevada, a non-profit organization that serves as the representative organization for the more than 70,000 Jews in Nevada, announced today its annual major fundraiser “Super Sunday” will be held virtually on Nov. 1 with a creative twist.
Co- Chaired by Lauralie and Todd Levy of social media firm, Crowd Siren, Super Sunday will be a virtual celebration of Jewish culture and a telethon event that is historically Jewish Nevada’s biggest fundraiser of the year. In its virtual program this year, Jewish Nevada will be broadcasting a 90-minute livestream that will feature local restaurants, clothing stores and entertainers to celebrate Jewish culture and raise funds to give back to the Jewish community.
The event will be hosted by actor, singer, dancer and producer Jeff Leibow, an icon of Las Vegas Strip shows. Entertainment will be provided by local DJ 3Lau. Restaurants in the cooking and bartending demonstrations include kosher restaurants Burnt Offerings and Chinglish, with content from local favorites Honey Salt, PKWY Tavern and Oscar’s Steakhouse at the Plaza. The show will also feature fashion segments with STITCHED and Vasari located at Tivoli Village.
“The pandemic has forced us to think very differently about our programming this year. We are excited about bringing our traditional Super Sunday to a virtual platform in hopes of engaging more people in our very important work,” said President and CEO of Jewish Nevada Stefanie Tuzman. “Funds raised through this event will help us to continue to build a vibrant community and sustain Jewish life throughout Nevada, Israel, and around the world.”
Jewish Nevada allocates grants and donations to community partner agencies to help provide a plethora of giving back endeavors, which include meals to seniors, support for Holocaust Survivors, education and scholarships for Las Vegas’ youth, programming and activities for families, and much more.
